Bert drove my intellectually impaired sister to Friends for Life from time to time. He was very respectful and kind to my sister and the other van riders. I am thankful to have known him and appreciate his kindness to his special needs clients. He seemed to be a sweet, gentle man. I will miss seeing him and visiting with him as my sister boarded the van. May he rest in peace in the arms of our Father in Heaven. Look forward to seeing him again when the Lord calls me home.

Even though there was miles between us. I will always remember the close relationship my uncle had with all his nieces and nephews and other family members. I will truly miss ours weekly phone calls the most. We would always end ours calls by saying " I love you". What I would give to hear my uncle say that to me one more time. " I love you Uncle Bert.
